FC Fassell workaholic 2-1 win over LPRC Oilers have taken them to the grand final of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) knock-out competition. From an Oilers perspective, the team were deserved losers as their opponents showed more commitment and desire to sail through. They showed more hunger and were slightly ahead not only in terms of the result, but the performance as well. The Oilers through their technical staff were tactically erratic as they made either worthless or belated substitutions. As the game progressed, Oilers ran out of steam as fatigue largely had its toll on them. Goalkeeper Saylee Kumateh stand accused of letting in the winning goal as he could not jump effectively to parry the ball over the frame. Sekou Manubah was wasteful, George Kerkulah was a passenger Adolphus Blamo was wrongfully substituted, Marlee Roberts ran out of ideas and Solo was belatedly brought on as the damage was already done. James Soto Roberts managed to get something relatively out of nothing in finding the leveler in the dying ambers, but it was still Fassell day. As a way forward, there need to be adjustment in the Coaching staff and then bring in at least nine new signings for next season. Younger players not necessarily with the experience but the drive and enthusiasm must be recruited, or else, it will be the same eleven journey men story which has continued since 2005, the last time the team won a major piece of silverware.
