FEEDING TILIPIA FISH WITH PIG CARCASSES IN PONDS FISH FARMING IN PERAK Recently reported fish farming of tilipia species breeding in several ponds in Bukit Tinggi, Redang near Kubu Gajah in Perak were fed with pig carcasses as reported by Menteri Besar Perak goes viral in media post. Safe-guarding the Muslim to consume prohibition foods and drink of impurities nature led to the investigation of Fisheries Department and Islamic Religious Authority into the allegation of tilipia fish breeding in ponds fed with dumping pig carcasses. Whatsoever,every Muslim are advised not to eat and consume from fish said ponds which are polluted with known feeding with pig carcasses or other impurities materials prohibited in our religious Islam. However, Muslim steadfastly urged the Islamic Religious Fatwa Committee should officially edit whether it is permissible to consume tilipia other car-fish (ikan kli) rearing in ponds for commercial marketing or for routine daily foods.
