FERRY DISRUPTION: The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) advises that the Cadell Ferry service will be unavailable on Friday between 9am and 3pm. The 18m timber hull Ibis will be temporarily swapped over, with the change allowing for the ferry to be slipped for a routine inspection of the hull, which will take about one week. Once inspected, the Ibis will then be returned to Cadell. In the meantime, the Avocet will be operational under a 16-tonne weight restriction from 3pm on Friday. DPTI has notified emergency services, and alternative crossings for vehicles above the 16-tonne weight limit are available upstream at the Waikerie Ferry and downstream at the Morgan Ferry.
