FINALLY!!!! Our beautiful mare Prada had a FILLY last night by Dallas :) 11 days past due. Super easy delivery. Mare laid down at 1:00 a.m. and it was born at 1:10 a.m Stood up and walked on her own within minutes. Pooped right away. Nursed almost immediately...just about the first try and drank a gallon of milk! We were back in bed in just under 2 hours. Unbelievable! This filly is super strong and well balanced. She was so determined to stand up and stay up on her feet! She even managed to stay balanced after tripping over some large flakes of hay. She wanted to walk right away without assistance. Super smart, super strong willed and has a bright and intelligent eye. Usually at this size (and shes BIG) we have to help them get up every hour). Not my girl, she did it on her own all through the night. Determination!! Yup, I am in LOVE and shes a keeper :)
