FOOD FOR THOUGHT LEARN Matt 11:28-29; "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN FROM ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Welcome to the last week in June 2013. I pray for you; your story will make others see that God answers prayer. To learn is to acquire knowledge through education or experience. What a person learns forms the knowledge he or she will relate with. What we call ignorance is actually a level of knowledge possessed by a person, it only implies the person needs to get more knowledge in the area he lacks it. One area we cannot overlook is Christianity. This is one area where people assume they know but their practice is completely different from what should be done. Traditional customs is taught verbally and experienced so that each generation continues their know tradition but many think age and experience teach Christianity and this is where they get it all wrong. I don’t think any man comes to this earth with any knowledge thus every man learns the how of everything as he grows up. Why should anyone now consider Christianity differently? I think this has been the bane of the misunderstanding so many possess about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Christianity and the bible in general. It pains God that so many people call themselves Christians but don’t have the basic knowledge of the scriptures; they lack basic experience that should reveal the personality of God. Until we come to agree that we have great need for knowledge; we cannot come into the knowledge we need because there will be no inner drive to acquire knowledge and the truth will never be known therefore, we remain ignorant. Beloved, who is this God we have been talking about? What is his nature? How does he operate? Where is he really? How do we know he is real? What does the bible say? Is the bible true? I know many Christians will see these questions as crazy, I know many will prefer to keep praying for miracle of what to eat, wear, house, car, spouse, position, money etc. rather than search for the answers to these questions. I know many will prefer to keep going from one prophet to another paying bill worse than what a medical doctor will give. I know many love deceit so truth will never appeal to them but until we find and understand God we can never find true solution. Fortunately for us, the first thing God calls us to do is to LEARN. We can’t pretend not to see this through the scriptures. Its basic purpose is to reveal to us who God is. We have not been called to experience what God can do first but to know who God is…….(TO BE CONTINUED) If you are not SAVED, you are not SAFE! The influence of the devil is still very strong over your life & destiny and you are not yet what God destined for you. If you die this way, you will end in hell. Jesus has paid the price of your salvation so that you can be saved. You will be free from the influence of the devil and become all that God planned for you & you will end in heaven. All you need is to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior today. Ask Him to come into your life as Lord and master of your life. Begin to study the bible and attend a bible believing church where you can be helped to grow spiritually as a believer and your life will never be the same again. I LOVE YOU, GOD BLESS YOU.
