FOOD FOR THOUGHT My little children, these things write I unto you, that Ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous. (1John 2:1) Do you know that God wants to have a relationship with you all the time? Sin separate us from God. Because He does not want us to be separated from Him, he has given us an advocate who pleads for us so that when we confess our sins to Him He forgives us and restores fellowship with us. This does not mean we should continue to sin all the time. When you continue in sin you grieve the Holy Spirit who convicts you of sin. What happens is that the conviction of the Holy Spirit in your life about sin is weakened until you get to a point when you no longer have any conviction when you sin. At this point you sin and you think it is alright. This is a dangerous state which can cause you to fall away from the faith.
