Ya know... Marriage is a funny thing. You go in with all your expectations and accusations about the other person and God ends up showing you all these things about yourself. Never think that youve got all the answers and that only your way is the right way to do something. Because when you do that, it severely limits any opportunity for personal and spiritual growth for yourself. Also, be perceptive and responsive to your spouse. Anticipate their needs. They may not always verbally convey messages or disclose what theyre thinking, but if you pay close enough attention, youll pick up on each small detail. Try to read between the lines of your marriage -- not to dismiss communication as being unimportant -- it is essential to effectively communicate. However, not all messages are delivered by speaking. Fill in the gaps with peaceful prayer which results in a deeper appreciation and connection with your spouse. Cast out any once of pride and the barriers between you and your love are defeated.
