FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MMA FIGHTER AND VETERAN ADVOCATE TAKES THE STAGE THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND TO TALK ABOUT GOD, FAITH, AND PTSD Chad Robichaux Takes the Fight Outside the Ring Los Angeles, CA (May 21, 2014) –Director of Veterans Affairs for Serving California, Chad Robichaux will be appearing at The Life Church located at 11234 Balls Ford Road in Manassas, Virginia this Memorial Day weekend. Chad is a former USMC Force Recon Veteran, best-selling author, Pro MMA Champion, and PTSD survivor. On Saturday, May 24th at 7:00pm, Chad will be speaking to middle school aged youth through college age at “One Big Night with Chad Robichaux.” On May 25th at 7:00pm, he will speak again to all ages at “All Access Night with Chad Robichaux,” which is a special worship experience designed to inspire both the church and the community. Chad served 8 tours in the Afghanistan War on Terror. After 4 long years of deployments, his personal journey recovering from PTSD began. He shares his story of tragedy to triumph over the struggles so many of our nation’s Warriors face in returning home. Chad is also a professional athlete with NBCs World Series of Fighting and former MMA World Champion, who has used his platform to advocate for civilian support of Americas Warriors returning home. Together, he and his wife, Kathy now dedicate their lives to share their story of victory through Christ and to mentor others like them. Additionally, Chad developed 2 key Warrior related PTSD programs. Through the Mighty Oaks Foundation, he and Kathy lead Marriage Advances, a 3 day marriage retreat where they minister messages of recovery, forgiveness, and marriage by God’s design and how to live by it. The other program is “Fight Club,” a 6-day intensive PTSD Group Integration Program for veterans who suffer with combat trauma. Here Chad leads them through the “why” questions in their new life, and helps the veterans learn coping skills based on a foundation of a faith where Christ is the healer. “We learn to live by design as leaders and will develop authentic character by discovering the truth within God’s word regarding discipline, brotherhood, purity, marriage, family, legacy, and faith,” states Robichaux. “Kathy and I are committed to serving on the front line with Warriors in an effort to intercede and end the climbing 23 per day veteran suicide rate and the current and tragic 90% divorce rate.” For more information regarding Chad Robichaux’s speaking engagements throughout Memorial Day Weekend, please contact Kathy@mightyoaksfoundation.
