FOR SALE - Palomino 3 year old German Riding Pony x Australian Riding Pony. This is an exceptionally hard decision to make as Cookie is such a much loved and adored member of our family but reality means that she is just sitting in the paddock being wasted as I simply dont have the time to give her. She is by imported GRP stallion Hilkens Nougat Cream and out of a sensible hunter type Riding Pony, Willowcroft Regal Request. She is foal recorded with the Australian Palomino Horsebreeders Association and registered RPSB and ASPR, she is also eligible Part Welsh and Part Arab. She currently stands at 15.1hh and will turn 4 in November. She has been well handled since birth and is easy to trim (always barefoot), float, rug and is stabled on a daily basis. I have taken her to a couple of Agricultural Shows where she has behaved impeccably and always wins Champion Palomino Mare. She has a lovely free moving action and has shown an aptitude for jumping. I am sure she will excel in the dressage, show or eventing rings with her calm and confident nature and eye-catching colour and movement. Last summer she was professionally backed and took all in her stride. On her return she was lightly ridden by myself and my non-riding 10 year old son. Since March she has been out in the paddock to mature so will need a light refresher before serious work begins. With that in mind I have placed a reasonable price tag of $8000 but come November I will place her with a rider to continue her education and the price will go up reflecting her further education.
