FOR THE WIDEST POSSIBLE CIRCULATION TO HELP A VETERANS NOK Dear friends, Col SL Khanna, Jat (Mech) of our colony(Sandeep Vihar, Sector 20 Panchkula) has been info by his Bank that one Lt Col Amar Nath Pahwa of 26 IMA Course (IC 12447-K) who had served in ASC Centre (S) here in 1992 and whose wife was Lt Col MANORAMA Pahwa (MR-4615) in Comd Hosp here at the same time has left behind a lot of FDs etc in a Bank in Bangalore. The Bank has tried to trace the offr/wife and failed. A good samaritan that he is, Col Khanna has run around/called 100 different agencies (eg, BSO/ AG MP 5/ AG MPRSO/ PCDA-P/PCDA-O) and traced info on IC No, wifes name& IC No etc & info up to Oct 2006 when Rs 50,000 was paid to the wife by AOB on the offrs death. That too was a c/o address at Pune of Lt Col RK Pahwa EME,who probably was/is a brother (?) whose whereabouts are also not known! Before that was a Lucknow address which too was a c/o one?! PCDA-P says w/o PPO No, they cant help! This Bank is NOT his Pension Paying Bank. NO further details are available. If the wife or NOK is NOT traced soon, the money will lapse to the Bank.
