FORUM FOR PROGRESSIVE GHANA Our Ref: ………001………………………... Your Ref: …………………………………….. Address: P.O Box TD628 Tarkoradi Tel: 0547330355 / 0243386040 E-mail: ffpg2000@gmail PRESS RELEASE Forum for Progressive Ghana, an ardent and well-meaning youth group of Ghana will like to express our sincere gratitude to all Ghanaians for their patience and tolerance since the 2012 electoral petition at the Supreme Court began. We are very elated for the conduct of supporters of both the petitioners and the respondents alike for their stupendous conduct so far and we hope and pray that the trend will continue for us to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere currently prevailing in the country. We also like to express our unending gratitude to the Supreme Court judges who had so far distinguished themselves and contributed hugely to the peaceful atmosphere we are enjoying currently. It is our fervent pea that the Supreme Court judges in their adjudication of the law will lessen their grips on the judicial whips on contempt of court charges especially on the latest summon on Wednesday 14 August, 2013. We appreciate the Lordship effort in bringing some high level of decorum into our political discourse. Since the latest contempt sentences, unfortunate commentary by political commentators have been checked. We therefore like to appeal to the learned judges that the latest culprit of alleged contempt, if found guilty, the law Lords should temper justice with mercy and deal leniently as the case draw to a close and the whole nation in peace chorus. We will also urge all supporters to maintain the peace and not to malign any panel member or the entire bench for any verdict that they may deliver. We once again would like to plead with Ghanaians to let the peace that we are enjoying be paramount and guide us in whatever we do because we only have one Ghana. Women and children should always be on our mind and also be motivated by the words of the mother pledge and defend our mother land Ghana. Thank you very much ............Signed.............
