FOSTER AND RESCUE URGENTLY NEEDED!!! This adorable dog was picked up as a stray West of Portage La Prairie (5 miles outside of Portage) on November 17th, 2014. Efforts to find this dogs owners have been unsuccessful. The Animal Control Officer for the RM (Larry Saunders) has kept this dog safe as long as he possibly could, however, the RM hold period has been extended waayyyy beyond the 3 days and this dog is now in a VERY serious situation. Contact information for the ACO is (204) 239-1359 or (204) 871-0154 (cell). He needs help to find a foster and rescue to take this boy in ASAP. Please....... lets find this dog a home!!! A trip to the Vet Clinic has confirmed there is no tattoo and no microchip. - male, not neutered - approximately 2 years old - very beautiful and extremely friendly - excellent temperament - great with people and with children Its again tight for time, however, this dog needs a place to go within the next day or 2. Please help this dog stay safe. As of right now, he is NOT! He urgently needs a place to go. Thank-you for your help! Much appreciated!
