FQ: Im about 11 weeks pregnant and have Van Willebrands disease, a type of bleeding disorder. I remember when I was first diagnosed, the doctor stressed the risk of pregnancy and labor to me. Since, I have had two miscarriages. When I discussed the condition with my OB, she seemed to sort of wave off the issue. She did address it and say we would be prepared for the worst, but she didnt seem to view it with the severity of the diagnosing doctor. Is Van Willebrands in pregnant women really as threatening as I had previously been led to believe? Or is it more common now and easily dealt with? Does anyone have any experience giving birth with Van Willebrands? ~5
