FREE LEASE OPPORTUNITY - Looking for an intermediate rider for a dressage horse with the potential to take you up the levels. Maverick is a 16.2hh, 10 year old OTTB who’s trained under very experienced eventing and dressage trainers. After I got him in 2012, I evented him for six months (he competed Training at a few non-rated events and did well), but then he strained his straight sesmoid in his front left pastern in early 2013. He went through six months of meticulous rehab and recovery and has fully recovered from the strain, but because of the injury, we decided to retire him from jumping. However, he is 100% sound. He’s incredibly smart and loves to please, his dressage foundation is excellent, and he’s wonderfully light in the mouth. He has a fancy way about him and his movement is big and beautiful. He’s also very brave on trail rides and loves to go out by himself. I’m 20 years old and I’m a student at University of Florida. Ive been working for event riders all over the country during the time Ive been in college, but I really need the time to focus all my attention on school during my senior year. I’m pursuing a dual degree with my sights set on law school, and I (very, very sadly) don’t have time to keep Maverick at school with me anymore (as I did for the past three years). I’m looking for someone who will take him on as their own with the opportunity to purchase if this situation is right. IDEAL for a Pony Clubber or a rider looking for a confidence builder/move-up horse with talent and an incredible, irresistible, in-your-pocket personality.
