It was an indeed an epoch making event when christian faithfuls from the Deliverance Tower of Jehovah all over Nigeria assembled at her Uyo District headquarter to honour a seasoned servant of God. The glamourous event kicked started at about 10am with a call to worship by the Iboko Assembly pastor, Pst. Paul Bassey. According to st.Augustine of Africa who mused that, when you pray, you pray once, but when you sing, you pray twice. This philosophical adage paved way to different melodic voices that spiced up the event. The Uyo District mass choir and Mens fellowship choir attracted the applauses of the audience with their extravagant choir renditions respectively. The pace-setting event was divided into two parts viz: the normal church routine service and the send-forth galore. The former was called to a close at about 12:15pm. The later which was the quintessence of the gathering was chaired by Bar. Francis Ekanem. The event was anchored by a talented orator, Pst. Paul Bassey and co-anchored by Pst. John Echi. Word of exhortation was presented by Rev. Silas Andem, the District pastor of Ikot Enebong. In his sermon tagged: father honour me John 12v26. In his sermon, he adviced all christians to do more of giving than receiving. He further stressed that giving is a catalyst for prosperity. The events climax was characterised with splashes of gift items by family, friends and well wishers. Also, the cresendo of the event included individuals and groups donation. However, on the celebrants response, he expressed gratitude towards the love showered on him. He further prayed for Gods blessing upon all. Those that graced the occassion were: Rev.Matthew Udoinyang, the National youth Pastor; Rev. Silas Andem,District pastor of ikot Enebong; Owerri, Calabar, Abuja, Lagos etc and other anointed men of God. It was also attended by Pst. John Echi, The National youth President(TONAYOF), Miss Blessing Ubong, VP TONAYOF and other National Executives. Jones Solomon(Reporter)
