Interesting thought: the flood came after 6000 years of history (plus a 23 year tribulation period making it 6023 years). If we were to look at each thousand years as a day it would work out that on the 7th day God destroyed the world with a flood. And only those resting in the ark were delivered. In constructing the ark Noah was used of God as a type of Christ. He was a preacher of righteousness just as Jesus was.
