FROM THE NEWSROOM: Overnight last night CT State Police Troop D Officer Desjardin reported the apprehension of a driver operating a vehicle at a very high rate of speed. The incident happened when the officer tracked a vehicle traveling south on I-395 exit 87 on radar at 93 miles per hour. Guilherme Dejesus of Brazil was the operator pulled over for excessive speed where it was discovered the driver did not have possession of an International Driver Permit. He was taken into custody and transferred to Troop D Danielson without incident. Dejesus was later released on 250-dollars Cash Bond and will appear in Danielson Superior Court September 24th.
