FROM THE NEWSROOM: TEEG will hold an Affordable Care Act enrollment fair for area residents at its Thatcher Rd. building in Thompson today from 2-7 p.m. As reported, the Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Groups Emma King and Jennifer Strong have been trained to assist local residents in navigating the health insurance marketplace and to help residents sign for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. TEEG officials ask that those attending todays enrollment fair come prepared with personal information including birth dates and social security numbers for all family members who need coverage, tax returns for previous years, employer and income information, and healthcare coverage information – including policy numbers and costs for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household. It takes about an hour, they say, to enroll in a healthcare program through Access Health CT.
