FROM THE NEWSROOM: (UPDATE) State police say that the cause of death for a woman who was reported missing late last week, and found deceased in Windham Sunday, wont be determined until after autopsy results are returned by the Chief State Medical Examiners office. According to the Chief State Medical Examiner, there are reports running in certain media outlets that the cause of death was determined to be drowning, but those reports are allegedly incorrect; the cause of death is still pending further study. Officials at the state police public information office confirmed that 25-year-old Melissa Hansen, who was reported missing on Friday, was found deceased in a wooded area near Routes 203 and 32 in Windham Sunday morning. A Silver Alert was issued on Saturday after Hansen was reported missing Friday.
