FYI..In regards to Coco who we rescued after her owners were put in jail!!! Yes she has puppies that are currently 6 weeks old, no WE as a rescue did not make the decision to take them from her!! Coco was separated from her pups when he owners were arrested, we tried to get the puppies and were told NO!! Coco was given to someone who was keeping her in a outside kennel, she barked all night long and the dog warden was called. When the dog warden arrived there were not shot records or ownership proof so we were contacted and told that if we did not take Coco she would be euthanized. We took Coco that day!!! In regards to the comment that our $250 adoption fee for Coco is insane, lets put this is perspective. Coco needs spayed/micro-chipped/Rabies shot/heartworm test/distemper shots/flea and tick preventative as well as heartworm preventative. Not to mention that Cocos skin is a mess and she also needs meds for that to clear up!!!! I think $250 is fair as it is across the board our fee for all dogs. If anyone has an issue with this they should contact the rescue directly, not people who the THINK are still associated with the rescue.
