FYI: PAGASA Weekly Weather Outlook Issued at: 5:00 p.m. 12 September 2014 Valid until: 5:00 p.m. 19 September 2014 Bicol region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Mindanao and the province of Quezon including Polillo Island will have cloudy skies and light to moderate rains and thunderstorms . Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. This weather scenario will persist until tomorrow (September 13). Meanwhile at 4 pm today, Tropical Storm LUIS with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph, was estimated at 660 km east of Virac, Catanduanes (14.0°N, 130.9°E). By Sunday morning (September 14), LUIS is expected to move closer towards Northern Luzon. Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon including Polillo Island, Catanduanes and the Camarines provinces will experience stormy weather. The rest of Luzon will have rains and gusty winds while Visayas will experience monsoon rains. Mindanao will have partly coudy to cloudy skies with chances of localized rainshowers or thunderstorms. In the afternoon, LUIS is expected to make landfall over the Isabela-Cagayan area. Stormy weather will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon by Monday (September 15) as LUIS is expected to traverse the Northern Luzon area. Rains and gusty winds will prevail over Metro Manila and CALABARZON while Western Visayas and MIMAROPA will experience monsoon rains due to the enhance habagat or southwest monsoon. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with chances of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. In the afternoon, LUIS is expected to have already crossed the landmass of Northern Luzon. By Tuesday (September 16), LUIS will continue to move away from the country. However, the Ilocos region will still experience rains and occasional gusty winds while Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and the provinces of Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Mindoro and Palawan will have occasional rains. The rest of Luzon will have improving weather condition and as with the rest of the country, will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. In the afternoon, LUIS is expected to be already outside the northwestern boundary of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Throughout the rest of the outlook period (September 17-19), the whole country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as the habagat or southwest monsoon will weaken while LUIS continues to move away from the country. Meanwhile, fisherfolks and those with small sea crafts are advised not to venture out over the eastern seaboard of Bicol region, Visayas, and Mindanao.
