Facebook family and friends after much prayer and mediation Ive decided to run for a Milwaukee Public School Board seat. Six out of nine Board Members terms end April 2015. The remaining three Board Members terms end April 2017. The primary election (if needed) is February 17, 2015; and the general election is April 7, 2015. Im running for Milwaukee Public School Board (District 3) because MPS Students, Parents, Teachers and the City of Milwaukee deserve better...... Over the years Ive supported the current MPS Board Members and appreciate their sacrifices and commitment, despite the many challenges and obstacles they have encountered. However, voters, parents and students in my generation, we can not cheer from the sidelines and watch the current Board Members fight the good fight for education for the next two or three election cycles. We must take ownership of the education problems in the City of Milwaukee and work strategically to close the achievement gap to secure opportunities for MPS students and families. #MPSdeserveBETTER #voteCoreyFosterApril7
