Facebook friends - On behalf of our family, let us say THANK YOU so much for your faithful support. We are consistently humbled and grateful for the encouragement and prayers we receive as we work to more fully understand and learn how to live with a seizure disorder. The last five days have been very challenging for Lisa Kell. After three trips to the Emergency Room in 4 days, early this morning she was transferred to Florida Hospital in Tampa, where she spent 6 days back in July. This allows her to be under the direct care of the Neurologist we have been working with since May who has been recognized as one of the countrys leading seizure specialist. Lisa has been wired up again to an extended EEG with video monitoring and has already finished the first protocol of another seizure study (her fourth in less than 8 months). She is understandably tired, both physically and emotionally, but very stable and completely safe. We do not know how long she will be here - that will depend on what the tests show and the wisdom, experience and instincts of the Doctors. An additional specialist will also be consulting with us later today to add another perspective to our journey. We remain thankful for medical professionals who have been such a blessing to Lisa and to us, including the staffs at MRMC Timber Ridge, Citrus Memorial Hospital, here at Florida Hospital, the paramedics at Nature Coast EMS and the Citrus County Fire Department. A very special thanks goes out to Dr. Ben Lambright and his family Lucy Strickland Lambright, Bradley Looper, Kelli Sims Ellis and Kelly Kell Chisman for being with us during the most challenging of times. In these days filled with many possible distractions, lets remain focused on the things that really matter most, and be faithful to pray for one another. Remember - every person has a name, behind every name is a story, and every story matters to God! Romans 8:18 - I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 - Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
