Facebook is a place where hot tempers and careless thinking by way of posting can get young people and old( er) people alike into serious trouble because they have become accustomed to letting facebook be that “venting stage” where common sense seems to be absent. We live in a world of suspicion and clue. This young man make an attention getting statement that brought suspicion ; further more even though he wrote lol and just kidding - Gotta remember with so many people getting hurt for no reason in these modern day times –who has time to laugh out loud. I think the young man should be given a second chance, a mental evaluation and a lot of questioning and teaching that he might understand the full gravity of his remarks. To the parent I would say fight for your son in the system –fight for your son at home-don’t just leave him to his own devices –checkup –check on –and check out what he is doing –posting and what he is viewing. You might be surprised and shocked, but in a position to teach right from wrong. The internet can be a good tool but also an evil playground. I don’t know the full story, but God does so I will pray His will in the matter to His glory.
