Faith in Carleton professors have finally been restored!!! Here is part of an email one of my political science professors sent me: Dear Nour, Eid Mubarak! I write to you today because I am saddened to see many Palestinians dying in Gaza in this terrible, unjust attack. My condolences goes out for you, your family, and the people of Palestine. As an academic and as a professor, it is unfortunate to see many of my peers refuse to speak against the actions Israel is taking, or deciding to side with the oppressor by condemning the actions of the oppressed. Students and the general public listen to what we have to say and take our words for granted. It is truly a shame to count myself as one of them. This is why I choose to speak against oppression. I wish for the Palestinians to live in peace and be able to return to what was once called Palestine.
