Falling in love is such a crazy thing. It’s wonderful, it really really is. I believe when you fall in love you’re falling in love with the idea of being in love with that person. I believe that to sustain that relationship and keep your love going you have to really work at it. Love isn’t easy. It’s an emotional roller coaster. It’s loving someone and giving them reasons to love you back. It’s believing that you are capable of being loved. It’s believing that the last person who broke your heart didn’t ruin it for you. It’s when the person you’re in love with, has a bad day or you get into a fight, and believing that they really do love you and are worth that fight. If you love someone you are going to fight. You’re going to fight to hold onto that love. Love doesn’t just stick around. You work for it. You prove to that person that they’re worth the fight to love. And you prove to them that through all your bullshit, bickering, jealousy, everything, you’re worth loving. You are worth the effort and the fight they put up to love you. As long as both people are fighting to love, and both people are proving they’re worth the fight. The love will be real. The love will be amazing. The love will be worth the fight.
