Farewell Party September 01, 2014 Today I mourn the loss of a great friend, Uncle, and a peer I looked up to. Charles F. Gamble, a man that I was reacquainted with back in 2006, after not ever seeing him since I was about five years old. Just before our reaquaintance I swore him to be my enemy over family issues that changed over evidential reasoning, and he became my best friend. I was warned by other family members to beware, that he would stab me in the back. Other family members scoffed at me and distance themselves from me over this relationship, but they were wrong. He fed me when I was hungry, he provided shelter when I had none, and when I was afoot, he provided me with transportation. Chuck (Charles), was a highly educated man, and taught me an abundance of things. But one of most critical was how to deal with society. I’m a very private person or should I say, I’m not a people person. Out of knowing a lot of people only a very small few that I consider friends, and there are only two that I have considered my best friend and they are Joe Lear, and Chuck Gamble. The reason, I included Joe’s name in this story is because he and I don’t see much of each other, and though Chuck past away knowing how I felt about him. I want to make it publicly known that Joe Lear is very dear to my heart, just in case God calls upon one of us next. Even though I am at a loss, my prayer today is of thanking God for the time that I had to spend with this dear friend, companion, and hombre’. I know that there will be those that may scoff or make fun of this that I write, or just say about Chuck “Good Riddance”! For there are those that didn’t like him, yet they have forgotten back when he was acquainted to them he helped them to become the people they are now. Some called him asshole. Well, I want the world to know that “HE WAS MY KIND OF ASSHOLE!” So, as I say farewell to one of my greatest comrades’, “Charles Frances Gamble” aka “Chucky”, aka “The Kurmujun (I think that’s how you spell it), aka “The Old Guy”, aka Ralff Snottgrass. (I gave him this one, he come up with the spelling). You will be missed very much. May God provide you a stairway to heaven. Your Nephew and Friend Frank J. Hunter Jr.
