Farmers Appreciation Week Next Saturday (Sept 12th) is our annual salute to farmers, especially OUR farmer vendors. All our vendors are being encouraged to dress up themselves and their booths “farmer style”. The local poets society will be presenting the winners of a poetry contest with farmers as a theme. At 11:00 a short ceremony will include Barrie Redl from Redl’s Homegrown Beef talking about his family’s 2,000 acre ranch, how they raise their beef and why they chose to continue farming as a career. We’re also working on a special musical treat for this event.
