Farmers market in the heart of Chicago downtown! I love buying produce that is grown close to home and it is ripen naturally. Most of produce in the stores is treated or coated to preserve freshness. Beside that it loses nutritional value as it is picked up too early and it is transported from far, sometimes hundreds of miles before gets to the store. For all these reasons I chose fruits and vegetables grown close to home as often as I can.
