Fasanmi Success Ayodeji Blissful Marriage When God instituted marriage between a man and a woman, He had in mind a union that would guarantee a blissful relationship all through their lives. He saw that man was not complete without a suitable mate. Marriage is supposed to be a thing of joy having unmistakable identity of symmetry; the woman is to be the suitable help for the man and likewise the man to the woman. A Bible analyst notes that the “woman is said not to have been taken out of man’s head to be lorded-over by him, nor from his feet to be trampled on by him, but from his side to be equal with him, from under his arm to be protected by him, and from near his heart to be loved by him.” In the same vein, the wife must be faithful and submissive to her husband, and both should have regard for each other’s opinion. Unfortunately, many couples are only managing their marriages, merely tolerating each other instead of enjoying it. It is even sadder that many are at the verge of divorce or separation contrary to the will of God. The major reason for this is refusal of both partners to leave and cleave as commanded by God, and it is only then that they can become one. Husbands and wives should both work together to fulfil this divine design in their relationship. And for singles that indulge in “trial-marriages”, a situation where a boy and a girl co-habit without a formal wedding, to see if it will work or not. This kind of deception that is pervasive in our society is a plot by the enemy to take souls to hell. BEWARE! Remember, Marriage is an everlasting contract, why not wait in order not to waste!
