He knows you and when he cuts you down its to the bone. Your enemys critique usually has a spot on slam of you. I think Ole Vladdie nailed it here. What we are seeing is the decline of consumer driven capitalism. The Achilles Heel of Capitalism is there is a physical limit to growth. The planet is that limit. We are over populated and the planet is sick from all our growth. Human greed has become a growth. Greed, for lack of a better word, is not good! Capitalism pretends that the planet is 1000X bigger than it is with unlimited extraction and exploitation but we havent mastered space colonization and there is no other near-by planet to exploit. Game over. No more oceans to strip and pollute. I think world capitalism is about to hit that wall where the current paradigm will no longer function. It will feed on itself as those with the most money will gobble all the last resources and everyone else will be left to fend for themselves. We need to evolve and reform before its too late. Mexico IS that kind of corrupted and greedy dystopia. What is happening in Mexico is a microcosm of what I fear will happen here for the next generation, whatever they are calling themselves these days. This will happen here if we stay on our current path of Oligarchy. It wont be drug cartels, it will be pharmaceutical companies and agro-chemical corporations. Drive-by editorial w/ ~Ñöstra-Thomas®
