#FashionFriday Midi Madness - Designers have been flirting with the midi hemline for a while now, and every season a few of the bold take on the troublesome length. Giannini at Gucci balanced her androgynous sailor pants with alluringly demure pleated dresses in botanical prints. Meanwhile, Michael Kors, who lives for Resort wear, introduced a few beautifully conceived silk charmeuse and chiffon dresses. Always one for frivolity, kate spade new york offered up a slouchy block-print sweater paired with a magenta pleated skirt and a whimsical navy full-skirted dress featuring hot air balloon motifs. While midi lengths are often seen as difficult to pull off, this season shows that there is more than one way to midi.
