Father we thank You for this day that we can come together once again, ... to give us courage and strength to stand up in the face of the atrocities of violence we see thoughout the world, but let us also take time to see how our own thoughts, words and deeds contribute in our world. Please keep the following meetings in your prayers: The outcome of the gathering Peace for All Rally held at Diversity Square, Jackson Heights, Queens 25 January and open pathways for harmony and peace in the community here in New York and in Pakistan, or whereever there is misunderstanding between religions, let there be respect and honor to all living beings. Today, The Security Council will hold a debate on war, 29 January, its lessons and the search for a permanent peace will be discussed in connection with the agenda item “Maintenance of International Peace and Security”. Engaging Religions in the Prevention of Atrocity Crimes 5 February - UN Conference Room 2 organized by the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, the United Religions Initiative, the Partnership for Global Justice, and the UN Department of Public Information.
