Faulty foundation Setting right your marital destiny Conclusion I have a list of people who set their marital destiny right and they are enjoying their marriage now to the glory of God. Pastor & Mrs. E.A Adeboye, were not born again before they got married but the good part of their story is that they BOTH became born again later in their marriage. This is not to suggest you postpone the day of your salvation till after marriage because on the other hand there are some people whose spouses are still unsaved, which means only the Spirit of God can change a man no man can. If you are a broken christian please see to it that your partner is GENUINELY BORN AGAIN before you start talking about marriage. Be patient and watchful! Dont rush or jump at their confession alone! Be sure. An unsuspecting sister unknowingly married a muslim brother who pretended and ACTED born again till after a year into their marriage. Ask me where they met? In the church! To this sisters shock; one day, the brother brought out his water kettle, did ablution to do his muslim prayer and thats how the sister knew she had entered into trouble. He confessed that he was never a christian and stopped the sister from going to church by asking her to choose between her marriage or church. Sad story! I know of a daddy close to me who impregnated his fiancee(they didnt abort it rather he married her) and they both gave their lives to Christ; they are grannies now to the glory of God. Dont use error to correct your marital error. Place a higher value on your relationship with God far above any love relationship because its the most valuable. That something is good still doesnt mean it is good for you. I had no peace to say yes to a brothers marriage proposal, the fear was just there; through the events that followed I knew it was a wrong one and with the 80% we did together I had no choice than to sacrifice the relationship. Just after my re-dedication everything turn around in my spiritual life! I discovered my God-given purpose, sort out my emotional blunder and God strenghtened me to be what I am turning out to be today Dont marry someone you do not love for whatever reason. If hes convinced then ask him to give you a reasonable time to pray and think it through. A BIRD IN HAND relationship Some people are in a relationship and they know in their heart that they will not marry their partner, they are simply holding onto the relationship till their ideal soulmate comes please stop being an enemy of progress; LET MY PEOPLE GO! Let my sisters and my brothers go! Stop wasting their time and resources they are putting into this heading nowhere relationship I tell you that you will get into trouble these days if you dont release them to move on with their lives. God hates deceit. Action Point: Do that which is needful today! Release what God is asking you to let go so that your hands can be free to receive the best God has in plan for your marital destiny.
