Last night, I testified before the House Rules Committee in support my amendment to the NDAA that would have paved the way for the creation of three Centers of Excellence to study, diagnose and treat burn pit exposure in veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Unfortunately, the Rules Committee did not accept my amendment, therefore preventing it from being considered by the full House of Representatives during NDAA debate. I will continue to advocate for the creation of these centers through my legislation, The Helping Veterans Exposed to Toxic Chemicals Act. Visit my website to learn more:
