Favourites of Lord Krishna Are we living under the annoyance of Lord Krishna ? Answer to the statement is provably ….. “Yes” according to thoughts of yours truly on the following counts. Lord Krishna the incarnation of Lord Vishnu loves two things the most in life. 1 Gau Mata 2 Gopi It is unfortunate to point out that the both his favorites are the victims in large numbers in our society. The Cow The cow is considered sacred in the Hindu religion—and not just the cow itself but everything that come out of it is sacred as well. Milk, urine, curds, dung and butter from cows, Hindus believe, will cleanse the body and purify the soul. Even the dust of footprints of cows has religious meaning. Hindu livestock has entered in the English language in the form of the expression of shock (“Holy cow!”) and to describe something that is preserved at great length for no rational reason (“sacred cows”). Hindus believe that each cow contains 330 million gods and goddesses. Krishna, the god of mercy and childhood, was a cowherd and a divine charioteer. At festivals honoring Krishna priests shape cow dung into images of the god. Shiva, the god of revenge, rode through heaven on a bull named Nandi and image of Nandi marks the entrance to Shiva temples. In view of the above facts it is the prime duty of every Hindu to protect the cow. Every Hindu should pledge to safe guard the cow from killing as per their respective capacity. In order to ban the killing of the innocent cows, a law should be constituted to declare Cow the National animal. Killing a national animal is crime and comes under the punishable crime. Give birth to girls, cut crime Stop to kill girl child she is prestigious gift from god We admire our ‘mothers’, worship Goddesses Lakshmi, Saraswati, Parvati, Durga, Kali, claim they represent wealth, intelligence, strength and power and then offer prayers for a boy child, or worse still, want to abort a girl child! Absolutely hypocritical and shocking! The female to male ratio has just dipped to 914 women to a 1000 men. We are a country that has had a woman prime minister, a woman president, we have witnessed Kalpana Chawla going into space… and closer to home, seen women working shoulder to shoulder with men, excelling in their fields and being on par as earning members. Why then, this ridiculous bias against a girl child being born? If you give them equal opportunity and education, they are just a capable of earning, being strong, self sufficient, resilient and the bread winners for the family. But gender disparity ratios anger me doubly because it denotes a woman’s consent in aiding the death of girls. Stop these killings and gain the blessings of Lord Krishna…..otherwise the society is under the serious threat of suffering from the wrath of Lord Krishna.
