Federal Lights - Epic sounding with Grandaddy like blend of lofi Americana touches and space age techy bits. Sound real good, Mojo would dig em I’m sure. More mainstream than Grandaddy though…remind me of Arcade Fire if fronted by yer man Jeff Tweedy..got male/female vox trading off each other, a bit of glock here, a bit of a Motown beat there. BANG BANG ROMEO - -a big cinematic windswept sound, with echos of late 60′s orchestrated pop, but with big bombastic anthemic choruses that are very Now, have been dubbed as a”harder edged Fleetwood Mac" and you can hear that too Neach- Octopoid drums and distorto fuzz bass…a duo from Paris with those 2 elements via a rock n roll vocal and a bit of the old Cream Black Sabbath Led Zepellin songwriting style. Bien sur, vive le rock… Big Pretty -optimistically bright and breezy indie, early The Stone Roses, jangly, lots of Byrds based brightness and no grubby lad rock elements.
