Feeling a little nostalgic today reflecting on my childhood holiday weekends that always revolved around Grandparents, cousins, Aunts and Uncles, family get togethers, usually lakes and picnics, a little sunburn, and a sleepy ride home from all the fun. American legion picnics, fish frys, the man who played the music at the legion and dancing and being a silly kid. Sunday dinners with family. I really did have an All American childhood and I thank my parents, Grandparents and extended family for it. Love to all of you still here and missing the ones who arent. Family is so important and sometimes you dont realize it until youre grown and they are gone.
