Feeling feisty this morning...so heres a Chuck story. Now I grew up with bullies, and I learned early being a small kid and being different I had to take decisive action and be two or more steps ahead when threatened or challenged. Today I live by kind and loving toward all. That wasnt always the case. 15 years ago, when I first started this job, my company was bought by this company. I wasnt even sure I wanted to work here, but I just showed up and worked hard. One day in the first month, I was on the phone with my, then, boyfriend. After I hung up I went to the guy in the next cubicle and thanked him for something he did for me. And I said, Youre the man. (everybody did at the time). He replied, No, youre the man...well maybe not after that conversation I just heard. If youve ever seen Universal Solider, you know that when they go into attack mode, they become perfectly calm and clear. So do I. I stepped up a foot, right in his face, and calmly said, Listen carefully, I know what I look like to you. But I aint some white boy from Newport Beach son, and I will show you who the Man is right now. Lets go outside and Ill kick your ass up and down Century Park East and then well see who the Man is. You know what, I dont have a problem, do you have a problem? He didnt.
