Feeling sentimental, reflective....putting a rare record on CD of The Northern California Community Choir, directed, written, and arranged by Jesse McDaniel, who was my grandfather. Recorded at Laney College Theater in 1981. My grandfather was inducted in the Bay Area Gospel Hall Of Fame. He passed away last year. He was a legend and well-respcted in his arena of Gospel music and choir direction. As I sit in the midst of pushing my own solo album and finishing up production on two other artist projects at the same time, amung other projects and performances, I think of him and his legacy, and even tho I wasnt as close to him as I would have liked to be, his musical influence and passion is definitely in my blood. Standing on the shoulders of Giants...how can I fall...
