OFRD will implement Provincial Shura style / townhall meetings to discuss and debate the people’s hopes for Afghanistan in the lead-up to the presidential election, and to invite Afghans to think about and discuss the future of the country once a new president is elected and takes office. The Shura/town hall meetings would be held in appropriate venues, and would include a moderated debate among a panel of local opinion leaders in mentioned provinces, one meeting in each province per month. Duties & Responsibilities: Event Facilitator: To facilitate between OFRD, Government and people and make pre arrangements in the central capital of each province including but not limited to awareness raising, contacting & inviting 200 community people including youths, elders, scholars and religious leaders to the shura/ gathering. Coordination with government departments, logistics, venue radio programing etc. Requirements: High school graduation with little work experience, familiarity with basic English Language, good Dari & Pashtu communication writing and reading skills Support Staff: Work closely under event organizer for the arrangement of the event including but not limited to invitation, logistics, purchasing refreshments and other community based activities. Support staff should be local residents in each province.
