Figgys first Cheeseburger in Paradise - One week ago today Figgy was rescued along with 32 of his friends from an awful puppy mill. After traveling with the hard-hearted puppy miller in an open truck bed in the cold and rain and having lived his entire life in a small filthy cage with no human kindness, Figgy was scared...really, really scared. He was the most frightened one of the bunch. His rescuer, Robyn, realized this and wrapped him up in a blanket to ride on her lap after getting him out of the puppy millers hands. He recoiled at her touch. It sent him to a panic. He was just sure that nobody would be nice to him, ever. Until - McDonalds. Within a few moments of pulling away from the drive through Figgy had forgotten all his troubles and was learning Jimmy Buffet tunes while eating his very first cheeseburger. He decided that Robyn was awesome (she definitely is). His new found faith in humanity is now extending to his caregivers at Hearts United for Animals. He has blossomed into an entertaining little character who has realized that life has many good things to offer.
