Fighting For My Future Making this write-up today, I have no hidden agenda. I am fighting for my future. Losing my future is not like PDP losing the Presidential Election come 2015 or Dangote losing a few points on the stock market. I am here to speak for all Final Year Lasuites who are being delayed. For we have been in final year for more than 18months now. I am here to speak for the students paying hundreds of thousands as school fees Afraid of having extra years, and using the only means the Government understands - Violence to pass their message accross I am afraid to walk though PPL at night because of my Big Brothers loitering around. I am afraid to take my Laptop with me to Iba New site because I dont want history to repeat itself. I used to go walk through FMS with Kusimo et al Until just a few years ago, the big brothers returned. And now we hear of students, both males and females going exinct every day,vanishing forever. VC, did you have to worry about these things when you were my age? All this is happening before your eyes and yet you act as if you have all the time you want and all the solutions. Im only a child and I dont have all the solutions, I want you to realise, neither do you! You dont know what these students go through before they could cough out their School fees. You fail to realise that these are children of pepper and maggi sellers. You turned a deaf ear to their plea, And sentenced them to a compulsory extra year in school. In my anger, I am not blind, and in my fear, I am not afraid to tell the world how I feel. I cant stop thinking that these students are my age, that it makes a tremendous difference when I gained admission, that I could be one of these students paying hundreds of thousands; I could be that student who was shot with a teargas; or I could even be one of the casualties lying in the Health Centre With your choices today You are deciding what kind of a world we are growing up in.
