Figures released Friday from the State Dept. of Education show that nearly 95 percent of Edmond third-graders received passing scores on the state’s third-grade language arts exam-one of the highest percentages of passing scores in the state. A law called the Reading Sufficient Act (RSA) requires third graders who perform unsatisfactory on the exam be retained.
