Finally an admission that applicants that are granted preferential treatment based on their race arent fully qualified. And, of course this was coming!! With admission rates at the appropriate quota, of course graduation rates would be next (which now lag behind significantly - and I never quite understood why those in the ivory tower were more concerned with admissions rather than graduation rates). I do wonder, however, if this is what Justice OConnor had in mind when she said that race preferences could continue for about another 25 years.
