Finally home from ER! Lauren has to have a GI scope done. Shes got an ulcer in her tummy. Shes been taking meds for this but apparently its not working. And it caused some swelling in her liver, which is why they thought the pain could be gall bladder. The scope should tell us a bit more about the ulcer and how to treat it. I never imagined an ulcer could cause doubled over pain that lasted 3 hours plus.... She isnt really a nervous stomach person, BUT she is a perfectionist. She sets very high goals for herself. Shes an AP student and has had straight As forever and has over a 4.0 average. She also does marching band ( French horn) and has had lots of competitions etc. couple that with normal teenage issues and I guess an ulcer reared its ugly head :((( Please keep her in your prayers. Shes already on meds for asthma and insulin resistance etc. its a lot for a teen. Thanks for yalls support. I read everyones well wishes and she appreciates them. On a happy note...shes sleeping with momma tonight. She hasnt done that in years!! Im gonna sneak some snuggles!!
