Finally home from the Drs. Brodey is Zonked out in bed. His appointment went good. Same results pretty much. This Dr. was nice and he took his time and really spoke to me and heard my concerns. and most defiantly wants to have cognitive testing done on him. I told him of my problems with finding a Dr that will expect bro. so he says he will call and get him a appointment. He wants to introduce us to a new Dr. She is a neurosurgeon at rainbows. He thinks she needs to be introduced to get to know Bro. That way if he gets into trouble here they can be there to help Bro unless he needs surgery to where then he will go to Buffalo, if I choose to stay there. What i didnt like about the visit was this: When he was looking at Bros scans he mentioned how he can see Brodeys coils. Bro, does NOT have coils! I chose glue and ONLY glue. I did my research closing a VGM using coils was causing a higher mortality rate especially for children that also presented with an aneurysm. not to mention his clotting disorder. So I was told of my option with Oynx glue and Brodey would have a better chance. so I went with onyx glue. The dr never heard of this procedure or knowledge of the glue. Its not the lack of his knowledge that upset me, Im used to that. Its that they want to sit and tell me Im crazy that every Dr knows of this and how to treat it... Blah blah.. then I end up schooling him! I really so dislike that. I might not have M.D after my name. I have something no school will ever be able to teach.. I am a MOM.
