Finally saw Da U Part 2 on 30 for 30 - heres my top 10 thoughts: (1) The first Da U was lifechangingly good - this one was just pretty good (but of course was concerned with only one national title, not three); (2) if youre going to start by showing the scrum with San Diego State, how could you not show Dwayne The Rock Johnson trying to punch the mascot?; (3) its amazing how great Butch Davis was at taking a school with probation and only a few scholarships and pick that amazing talent so wisely - the real story is how did he do the opposite at North Carolina, leaving them with no real talent and with recruiting violations; (4) I cant believe they glossed over how close the 2001 team was to losing the Boston College and Virginia Tech games - I personally had notched the Boston College game up as a loss until that amazing interception - I feel like you need to read that great oral history of the 2001 team on the Fox Sports website to really understand that team;(5) my favorite part of their portrayal of the 2001 team is when they showed all the amazing players (Vince Wilfork, Sean Taylor, Frank Gore) who were RIDING THE BENCH for that team; (6) when they showed highlights of the Ohio State game, I cant believe they didnt show Maurice Clarett stealing away that interception, which is one of the most amazing plays I can remember; (7) I cant wait for Greg Olsen to retire - hes going to make a great contributor to someones studio show; (8) I also think Greg Olsen should go back and cut another hiphop album - I know hes ashamed of his misogynistic rapping at Da U, but youve got to admit his rhymes were SMOOTH; (9) they spent a little too much time on Shapiro, not enough time on how disappointing the late-period Canes were on the field; and (10) after over a decade all I can say is HOW THE F*&K DO YOU CALL THAT PASS INTERFERENCE?!?! HE DIDNT EVEN TOUCH GINN UNTIL GINN HAD THE BALL!!!! CANT WE STILL OVERTURN THIS ON REPLAY?!?! GIVE US THE DAMN TROPHY!!!!
