Finally some positive news! Jett is now well enough to be transferred to the ward. The ICU doctors are quite happy with how he is doing, and confident that they have got the pain under control with the right drug cocktail. Heart rate and blood pressure all good. So we can be moved to the surgical ward now where they can take care of Jett for the remainder of his recovery while in hospital. We will be in hospital for at least another week probably more depending how well he manages the recovery and when he is comfortable to sit in his wheelchair. Until then he will stay in bed with the leg splints and wedge on to help heal the bones. We will be given a care plan for when we go home to further help Jett recover and eventually will be able to take splints off completely.
