Find out more about participating regions and organizations. Lieu du design: In the Paris region, design implicates some 4000 firms with more than 30,000 employees. It generates €2.5 billion in sales. Around two-thirds of French design agencies and designers are located in the Paris region. More than 120 design bureaus in other firms are located there. The Lieu du Design, located in Paris is place for federating actors. It is a platform for permanent meetings and on-going dialogues between professionals of design. It aims at convincing small and medium-sized businesses to call upon design through assistance and project support operations. Between 2009 and 2014 the Lieu received more than 1800 demands of enterprises in order to benefit from its support. The Lieu du Design provides assistance with analyzing needs and assisting with the design project process. It mobilized more than 3 000 000 euros of public funds to help enterprises and designers developing their innovative projects. It also helps designers to create and developp their own agencies and supporting them in finding a job or business opportunities. And through a program of exhibitions (more than 25 organized these last 5 years) dedicated tall kinds of design the Lieu raises public awarness of design’s implication in our daily and future environment.
